NCARTT's mandate also provides for the identification, testing, transfer and adoption of improved technologies.

OBJECTIVES

In an attempt to accomplish research objectives and ensure that areas of high priority receive
the appropriate level of effort, research at NCARTT has been organized into five major
program areas:
*rainfed production
*irrigated production
*range and natural resources management
*water management
*livestock
Each progrom includes a number of projects which are multidisciplinary and respond to problems related to production and marketing of agricultural commodities.

Projects are in turn made up of multidisciplinary experiments, trails, and studies witch are designed to answer specific problems and questions. The results of these experiments, trails, and studies are then incorporated into specific recommendations available to the members of the argicultural community.
